United Way of Becker County Celebrating Random Acts of Kindness this Week

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The United Way of Becker County is encouraging Lakes Area residents to participate in a week of kindness.

From, Monday, Nov. 15 through Friday, Nov. 19 the organization will be sharing examples of random acts of kindness displayed throughout the area.

“The past months have been difficult for many, but a small act of kindness can go a long way in making a difference. United Way Acts of Kindness Week gives each of us the opportunity to brighten someone’s day. Random Acts of Kindness can make a difference in the lives we touch,” said United Way of Becker County Executive Director Luann Porter

Companies and community groups are also encouraged to get involved by hosting internal volunteer events or supply drives, showing appreciation to each other, and committing to the 5-Day Kindness Challenge.
