ST. PAUL (KDLM) – Rep. Michelle Fischbach has introduced a bipartisan bill to rename the post office in Vergas.
Under the proposed bill, the Vergas Post Office would be renamed after Jon Glawe, a veteran who dedicated 36 years to delivering mail in Vergas, taking over the route of his later father.
A second bill would rename the post office in Oklee after Coya Knutson in honor of the first female elected to Congress from Minnesota.
āIām proud to have the support of the Minnesota delegation in renaming two post offices after local heroes,ā said Rep. Fischbach.
