DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Roosevelt Elementary School in Detroit Lakes has been named one of the best elementary schools in the nation.
U.S. News and World Report published their first-ever rankings on public elementary schools, recently and named Roosevelt Elementary one of the top 30% in the state of Minnesota.
The ranking is based heavily on math and language arts assessment, graduation, and how well the school prepares its students for high school.
Roosevelt Elementary ranked #237 out of 1,171 elementary schools in Minnesota with 69% of students scoring at or above the proficient level for math, and 57% scoring at or above that level for reading.
