DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Becker County Museum plans to open bidding for the construction of a new Becker County Museum this week.
The museum has been raising funds for several years to build a new 30,000 square foot building with a cost of $6.4 million.
“I’ve been planning to go to bid for maybe 3 or 4 years, but we are officially going to bid this week, which is super exciting,” Becky Mitchell, Executive Director at the Becker County Historical Society & Museum said.
A ground breaking is expected in early May and the project should take about 11-months.
