DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Poles N Holes Ice Fishing Derby scheduled for Saturday has been postponed.
The Derby says due to impending weather conditions, and out of concern for everyone’s safety, this year’s in-person derby will be moved to Saturday, Feb. 13.
The event already had a virtual derby option scheduled for Feb. 12-14 via the FishDonkey app. “This is an important fundraiser for our club’s philanthropic activities. This is A LOT of work for our volunteers to reschedule, but the lack of warming shelters due to COVID restrictions adds to the safety concerns with the expected wind chills.”
