5 Year-Old from Dent Airlifted to Hospital After Head-On Collision

LAKE GEORGE (KDLM) – A 5-year-old was airlifted to a Fargo Hospital after suffering a serious head injury in a head on collision near Lake George, MN.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14 when Daniel Keezer of Bemidji was travelling northbound on County Road 4. Keezer entered the oncoming lane of traffic where he struck a Cadillac driven by Jamie Hill of Dent.

Hill had three passengers in the vehicle including a 5 year-old that received a serious head injury and was airlifted to a Fargo hospital. The other passengers in Hill’s vehicle received minor injuries.

Keezer admitted to Deputies that he had smoked marijuana prior to the crash and the he fell asleep while driving. Deputies obtained a search warrant to obtain a sample of Keezer blood.

The case remains under investigation.
