DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Rain is expected to hit the Lakes Area this week.
A few showers and thunderstorms may spread across the area Friday as a cold front moves through. While there is still uncertainty in exactly how much precipitation the rain may bring, it looks like much of the Lakes Area could receive as much as half an inch Friday in the overnight hours.
This month has been one of the driest on record, so any significant precipitation will likely be more than the entire first half of August.
