Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM)- Stingy defense and forced turnovers led the Lakers Girls Basketball team to a 52-24 win over Thief River Falls at the Ralph Anderson Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
Sophomore forward Jacee Hauser led all scorers with 14 points, including 2-2 from beyond the arc. Senior center Kylee Price was a force on the offensive glass and added 11 points of her own. After trailing 1-0 early, the Lakers ended the first half on a 30-5 run, only giving up six points to the Prowlers in the first 18 minutes.
The Lakers (2-1) hit the road on Thursday face Pequot Lakes. Thief River Falls (0-3) will take on Warroad on Thursday.
