DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Becker County Sheriff’s Office is reminding WE Fest concert goers to plan ahead before enjoying this weekend’s concerts.
The Becker County Sheriff’s office will man a command post next to the East gate 24/7 during the festival allowing them to patrol the campgrounds and respond to calls for service throughout the festival.
Sheriff Todd Glander says the area around the WE Fest grounds will be congested and is asking everyone to plan ahead, “number one slow down, plan ahead for congestion, where you’re going to park and who you are going to be with and be with at the end.”
The Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce for example offers a shuttle service that allows festival goers to park at the Becker County Fairgrounds.
Glander is also encouraging people to not walk along the roads and is reminding motorist that County 22 will be closed to Northbound traffic beginning Thursday at 10am.
