DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – A proposed Elbow Lake RV park was tabled by the Becker County Commissioners on Tuesday, July 20.
The proposed seasonal RV park would include 49 units and 6 boat slips with a full-time staff next to the Jolly Fisherman resort.
Commissioners were hesitant to approve the request citing the density of units, lack of a firm business plan and wanting additional community input.
“We as a county are going to have to look at more people coming to our lakes…RV Parks are one of those options and we want to make sure they are done well and run well,” said John Okeson.
The request was tabled, and will be brought up at a future commission meeting likely with a number of amendments.
