More than $1 Million in Damage in Fire that Gutted Wolds RV Sales

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Damage is estimated at more than $1 million dollars in a fire at Wold’s RV Sales on Highway 10 West in Detroit Lakes.

Fire Chief Ryan Swanson says flames were pouring out the east side of the building when the fire was reported around 10 pm last night, “Right off the bat we had mutual aid, once crews got on scene, we were able to get to the scene of the fire and knock it down. The fire did major damage to the showroom and parts room of the building.”

Swanson says a firefighter received a back injury from pulling hose through deep snow.

A state fire investigator is on scene today looking for the cause of the fire.
