Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM/Learfield)- Lakewood Health System is expanding measles screening as cases continue to rise in central Minnesota. There are at least 20 cases in Todd County and more than 40 across the state. Patients and visitors to Lakewood’s hospital and five clinics are being asked about their vaccination status and possible recent exposure to measles. Several people with measles visited the hospital’s emergency room over the past month, triggering investigations into potential exposures. Lakewood says all employees are vaccinated, and staff are working with local communities to help contain the spread.
