Four people were injured Thursday evening when a truck collided with a horse-drawn buggy in Evergreen Township in Becker County.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 6:37 p.m. on County Road 122, about a quarter-mile east of 410th Avenue.
The truck, driven by 39-year-old Cory Holmer of Detroit Lakes, was traveling west when it collided with the buggy, which was also traveling west.
The buggy was operated by 23-year-old Ervin Miller of Frazee. Three additional people were aboard, including 23-year-old Sylvia Miller, a toddler and an infant, all of Frazee.
All four people were injured and transported for medical care. Their conditions are currently unknown. The truck driver was not injured.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office says alcohol and drugs are not suspected. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Frazee Police Department, Frazee Rescue, Frazee Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota DNR Conservation, Essentia-St. Mary’s EMS and Life Link Air Care.
