Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Twins shut out the Los Angeles Angels 8-0 Sunday afternoon to split their four-game series in Anaheim.
Alan Roden led the way at the plate, going three for five with a three-run homer in the seventh inning and a career-high four RBIs. It was Roden’s first major league game this month and his first home run since August 6th of last year.
Dean Kremer (3-1) gave up just one hit over six innings, walking three and striking out eight, his most in a start since April. Bailey Ober pitched the final three innings to earn the first save of his career. The Angels managed only two singles all day.
Josh Bell had three hits and two RBIs, and Brooks Lee added three hits and scored three runs.
Minnesota has won two of its last three. The Twins open their final road series of the season tonight against the San Francisco Giants.
