Twins Fall 4-2 In Sacramento, Series Finale Set For Tonight

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins lost to the Athletics 4-2 Tuesday night in Sacramento, evening the three-game series at a game apiece.

Taj Bradley was charged with the loss despite striking out 11 over six and two-thirds innings. The right-hander gave up four runs on seven hits and a walk, including a two-run home run to Carlos Cortes.

Minnesota’s offense never got going, managing just four hits all night. The Twins were held scoreless until the seventh, when Kaelen Culpepper doubled home a run and Victor Caratini drove in another. Royce Lewis had two of the four Minnesota hits.

Athletics starter Gage Jump picked up the win, striking out nine over six and a third innings. Elvis Alvarado worked the ninth for the save.

The Twins took the series opener 9-6 on Monday. First pitch for the rubber match is set for 8:05 p.m. Wednesday in Sacramento.
