Girl Scouts Bring Mobile STEM Center to Detroit Lakes

DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Girl Scouts Mobile STEM Center visited Detroit Lakes over the weekend.

The customized van was in Detroit Lakes on Saturday and provided science, technology, engineering and math based activities to Lakes Area Girl Scout Troops.

The Mobile Stem Center is traveling throughout the Dakota Horizons Council’s 164,000 square mile region based in Sioux Falls this summer. The van is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment including tablets, lab tools and telescopes to help Girl Scouts earn Stem badges.
