Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins begin a three-game series with the San Diego Padres tonight at Petco Park, looking to stretch a three-game winning streak to four.

First pitch is scheduled for 8:40 p.m. Central.

Minnesota arrives on the west coast off a strong week at Target Field, including a 4-1 win over Atlanta on Tuesday and a 6-4 victory over the Braves on Wednesday. The Twins sit at 63-65, second in the American League Central and three and a half games behind the Chicago White Sox.

San Diego enters the weekend at 68-60, second in the National League West and nine games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Padres remain in the thick of the National League wild card picture, making the interleague set a meaningful one for both clubs.

The series continues Saturday at 7:40 p.m. and wraps up Sunday afternoon with a 3:10 p.m. start. Minnesota stays on the road after that, heading to Sacramento for three games against the Athletics beginning Monday.
