Lynx Run Winning Streak To 10 With 108-100 Win Over Fever

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Lynx pushed their winning streak to 10 games Sunday, holding off the Indiana Fever 108-100 at Target Center.

Olivia Miles led Minnesota with 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting, adding six assists and four rebounds. Courtney Williams scored 27 on 12-of-20 shooting with five assists, and Napheesa Collier posted 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Natasha Howard chipped in 13 points and Kayla McBride added 10.

The Lynx shot 56.6% from the field and 44% from three-point range, and recorded 28 assists on 43 made baskets. Minnesota also won the turnover battle, giving the ball away just eight times to Indiana’s 12 and converting those miscues into 15 points.

Minnesota led 36-33 after the opening quarter and stretched the margin to 64-53 by halftime behind a 28-point second period. The lead reached 15 before Indiana mounted a late push, closing within two at 98-96 in the fourth quarter on a 12-0 run. The Lynx answered from the free-throw line and in the paint to close it out.

Mitchell paced the Fever with a game-high 37 points, connecting on 14 of 21 shots and six of eight from beyond the arc. Caitlin Clark added 19 points and 10 assists, while Aliyah Boston finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Indiana shot 57.4% as a team but managed no fast-break points and was outrebounded 39-31.

The win moves Minnesota to 25-6, the best record in the WNBA and five games clear of Las Vegas and Golden State atop the Western Conference. Indiana falls to 19-11, second in the Eastern Conference behind Atlanta.

The Lynx go for an 11th straight win Thursday, August 6th, when they host the Los Angeles Sparks at Target Center. Tipoff is set for 8:00 p.m. Minnesota beat the Sparks twice earlier this season, including a 96-87 home win on July 15th.
