Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Minnesota Twins center fielder Byron Buxton is headed back to the 10-day injured list after aggravating his right hip.
The All-Star outfielder was hurt during Tuesday’s 3-2 walk-off win over Kansas City. He received an injection Wednesday and is expected to be sidelined roughly seven days.
The latest setback comes after a brief return to the lineup. Buxton appeared in seven games between injured-list stints, going four for 25 at the plate.
Minnesota is calling up infielder Tristan Gray from the minors to fill Buxton’s spot on the active roster.
