Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Lynx are looking to stay hot as they close out a four-game homestand.
Minnesota has won four straight and owns the best record in the WNBA at 19-6 heading into Saturday night’s matchup with the Portland Fire at Target Center. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
The Lynx sit atop the Western Conference, one game ahead of the Golden State Valkyries. Their current run began July 8th with an 86-80 road win at Connecticut, followed by home wins over New York (90-85), Phoenix (104-100) and Los Angeles (96-87).
Saturday closes out a four-game stretch at Target Center before Minnesota heads west for a pair of road games in Seattle next week.
Portland comes to town at 11-14 in the expansion franchise’s first WNBA season. The Fire sit 12th in the league standings and have already met the Lynx once this year, falling 107-74 in Minneapolis on June 15th. Oddsmakers make Minnesota a heavy favorite for the rematch.
