Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins fell to the Detroit Tigers 10-4 in the opener of their series at Comerica Park.
Minnesota held a one-run lead before Detroit pulled ahead with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Starter Taj Bradley took his third loss of the season after surrendering five runs on seven hits over four-and-a-third innings.
The Twins did not go quietly at the plate, launching four home runs in the loss. Byron Buxton, Josh Bell, Brooks Lee, and Kody Clemens each went deep against the Tigers.
Minnesota sits in third place in the AL Central with a 30-38 record. The two teams meet again tonight in Detroit.
