Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Vikings’ top two quarterbacks both spoke with reporters following organized team activities, with each offering his take on the competition for the starting job.
JJ McCarthy told reporters he has been informed his battle against Kyler Murray will be a true competition. McCarthy added that there is no awkwardness between him and the former Arizona Cardinals quarterback as the two work alongside each other this offseason.
Murray, for his part, said he wants to help McCarthy in any way that he can.
The Vikings are off today before returning to the practice field tomorrow.
