Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert continues to cement his reputation as one of the NBA’s elite defenders.
The league announced over the weekend that Gobert was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team for the 2025-26 season. It marks the ninth time in his career that the 33-year-old has earned a spot on one of the All-Defensive teams, and the third consecutive season he has received the honor.
Gobert anchored the Timberwolves’ defense throughout the year, averaging 11.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game.
A four-time Defensive Player of the Year, Gobert remains a cornerstone of Minnesota’s defensive identity as the franchise looks to build on recent postseason success.
