Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins surrendered 11 hits in a 9-5 loss to the Miami Marlins on Wednesday night at Target Field.
Byron Buxton powered the Twins offense with two home runs, and Kody Clemens added another long ball, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a rough outing from the starting rotation.
Simeon Woods Richardson dropped to 0-6 on the season after giving up six earned runs and two unearned runs on seven hits over three innings of work.
The loss leaves Minnesota tied for third place in the AL Central with a 19-24 record.
Zebby Matthews gets the ball this afternoon as the Twins look to even the series against Miami.
