DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The city of Detroit Lakes is asking businesses to help sponsor new winter snowflake decorations.
Lighted decorations line the city streets each winter from thanksgiving through Polar Fest in mid February. The city’s current decorations are around 30 years old and in need of replacement at an estimated cost of $40,000.
The city of Detroit Lakes is asking local businesses and community members to help sponsor the purchases now to ensure decorations can be purchased and installed by this winter.
Sponsorship levels include a small snowflake at $250, medium snowflake at $500 and large snowflake at $750. Checks can be delivered to the City of Detroit Lakes at 1025 Roosevelt Ave.
