Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins snapped a five-game losing streak Monday night with an 11-4 win over the Seattle Mariners at Target Field.

Kody Clemens powered the offense, going 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and five RBIs. His 379-foot shot to right field in the third inning capped a four-run frame and gave Minnesota a 5-0 lead. He added a two-run single in the eighth to put the game out of reach.

Byron Buxton extended the lead to 7-0 in the fourth with a two-run homer off Mariners starter Luis Castillo. Trevor Larnach went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI, and Ryan Jeffers added two hits and two RBIs.

Left-hander Connor Prielipp picked up his first big-league win in his second career start. The 25-year-old allowed two runs on one hit over five innings, walking three and striking out five. He held Seattle hitless through four innings before the Mariners pushed across two runs in the fifth on a Mitch Garver RBI single and a Cole Young sacrifice fly.

Castillo took the loss, giving up seven runs on seven hits over five innings. His ERA climbed from 5.01 to 6.35.

Cal Raleigh hit a two-run homer in the eighth off reliever Andrew Morris to cut the deficit to 8-4. It was Raleigh’s seventh home run of the season and his fifth in the past seven games. Seattle’s four-game winning streak ended with the loss.

The Twins improved to 13-16 on the season. Right-hander Joe Ryan (1-1, 3.90 ERA) takes the mound Tuesday night against Mariners right-hander Logan Gilbert (1-3, 4.36 ERA).
