Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves will try to close out their first-round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets tonight, but they’ll have to do it without their starting backcourt.
Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo are both expected to miss time after suffering injuries during Minnesota’s 112-96 win over Denver in Game Four on Saturday. DiVincenzo will miss the rest of the postseason and the majority of next season with a torn Achilles, while Edwards is out for multiple weeks.
In Saturday’s win, Ayo Dosunmu came off the bench and erupted for a game-high 43 points, and Naz Reid chipped in 17 as the Wolves grabbed a commanding 3-1 series lead.
Minnesota visits Denver for Game Five tonight at 9:00 p.m.
