DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – Fire Departments across Becker County are hosting open houses on Wednesday to recruit more volunteer firefighters.
Fire Departments in Audubon, Frazee, Lake Park, Wolf Lake, Carsonville, Elbow-Tulaby, Callaway and Detroit Lakes will hold open houses beginning at 6 p.m.
“It’s an open house for Fire Departments to let people who are interested in the Fire Department get a good look at what we do,” said Travis Gray with the Frazee Fire Department.
Those wishing to join the Departments must be 21 and above and live within four miles, or eight minutes of a local fire station.
