Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves are exhausting all their options as they prepare for the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
Minnesota visits the Denver Nuggets for Game One on Saturday, April 18th, and Wolves forward Julius Randle told reporters yesterday that the only way a team can stop Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is to “call God.”
The Timberwolves went 1-and-3 against Jokic and the Nuggets during the regular season, with their lone win coming in a 117-108 decision on March 1st. Denver earned the third seed in the Western Conference at 54-and-28, while Minnesota finished sixth at 49-and-33.
The two teams are no strangers in the postseason. This marks the third meeting in four years, including the 2024 series in which the Wolves rallied from a 20-point deficit in Game Seven to eliminate Denver.
Game One tips off at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Ball Arena. Game Two is set for 9:30 p.m. Monday, April 20th, also in Denver, before the series shifts to Target Center for Game Three on April 23rd and Game Four on April 25th.
