Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves ended the regular season on a high note Sunday, beating the New Orleans Pelicans 132-126 at Target Center in Minneapolis.
Minnesota controlled much of the game, building a lead of as many as 16 points. Terrence Shannon Jr. led the Wolves with 26 points, while Joan Beringer posted a dominant all-around performance with 24 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks.
The win gives Minnesota a 49-33 record and the 6th seed in the Western Conference playoffs. The Timberwolves will open postseason play this weekend against the Denver Nuggets.
