Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves dropped a 132-120 decision to the Orlando Magic at Kia Center on Wednesday, falling to 47-33 on the season.
Missing five regulars from the lineup, including Anthony Edwards, Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert, Ayo Dosunmu, and Mike Conley, the Wolves trailed by as many as 24 points in the loss.
Terrence Shannon Jr. carried the offensive load for Minnesota, finishing with 33 points. Jaden McDaniels added 18 in his first game back from injury.
The loss is largely academic, as the Timberwolves are locked into the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Minnesota visits the Houston Rockets tomorrow night to close out the regular season.
