Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins return to the diamond tonight, hoping to put an end to a two-game losing streak as they visit the Kansas City Royals for game two of their three-game series at Kauffman Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
Minnesota enters the contest having dropped back-to-back games. The Twins fell 8-6 to the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday before dropping the series opener here in Kansas City 3-1 on Monday. The tough start leaves Minnesota sitting at 1-3 on the season.
Right-hander Joe Ryan gets the ball for the Twins tonight as the club looks to salvage a victory before the series wraps up Thursday afternoon.
Kansas City, meanwhile, will look to build on its momentum after handing the Twins that Monday defeat and continue to make life difficult for an AL Central rival that is still searching for its footing early in 2026.
