Authorities on the White Earth Reservation say several people were arrested last week following a drug investigation in the region.
The White Earth Police Department executed a search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected narcotics sales. During the operation, officers took multiple individuals into custody and seized evidence believed to be connected to drug distribution.
According to police, the arrests involved charges including controlled substance possession and sales, outstanding warrants, and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person. Officials say the investigation is still active and additional arrests may be made as follow-up work continues.
White Earth police also thanked community members who provided information that helped advance the case, saying tips from the public play an important role in protecting the safety and well-being of the White Earth Nation.
Authorities also acknowledged assistance from several partner agencies, including the Headwaters Safe Trails FBI Task Force, the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, the West Central Minnesota Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, and the Hubbard and Becker County Sheriff’s Offices.
White Earth police say they remain committed to disrupting drug trafficking and holding those responsible for bringing illegal drugs into the community accountable.
