Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins put together a strong finish on Monday, scoring three runs over the final two innings to claim a 9-6 Spring Training victory over the Boston Red Sox at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers.
Trevor Larnach and David Banuelos provided the offensive highlights, each connecting for home runs in the win. The long balls helped Minnesota overcome a shaky outing from starter Bailey Ober, who gave up four runs on ten hits before exiting after four and a third innings.
Despite the win, the Twins are 10-18 in exhibition play.
Minnesota will look to carry the momentum into Tuesday’s action when right-hander Mick Abel takes the mound against Boston.
