Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Wild head to the Windy City tonight looking to put an end to a troubling three-game losing streak as they take on the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center.
Puck drop is set for 6:30 PM.
Minnesota has hit a rough patch at a critical point in the season, dropping three straight after losses to the Colorado Avalanche (3-2), the New York Rangers (4-2), and most recently the Toronto Maple Leafs, who handed the Wild a 4-2 defeat at home on Sunday evening.
Despite the recent slide, the Wild remain in solid playoff position. Minnesota sits third in the Central Division with a 38-18 record and 88 points on the season, trailing only the Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars in the division.
Standing in their way tonight is a Chicago Blackhawks squad that has struggled for most of the year, currently eighth in the Central Division at 25-30. Oddsmakers and win probability models heavily favor Minnesota tonight, giving the Wild a 62.6% chance to come away with a victory.
