Man Hurt in Crash on Highway 10

Detroit Lakes, MN – A Fergus Falls man was hurt in a crash on Highway 10 in Detroit Lakes late Sunday morning.

State Troopers say a GMC pickup and a Chevy pickup were both heading west on Highway 10 around 11:48, when the GMC rear-ended the Chevy in the left turn lane to East Shore Drive.

The driver of the GMC, 56-year-old Everett Northup of Fergus Falls, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to Essentia Health St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes for treatment. It is unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The 93-year-old driver of the Chevy from Detroit Lakes was not hurt. Troopers say the road was wet at the time of the crash.

The State Patrol was assisted by the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police.
