Detroit Lakes 48 Sartell 63

The Detroit Lakes Lakers Girls Basketball season came to an end on Thursday. The Lakers fell to Sartell on the road after the game slipped away in the second half. The game started with a couple of big three-point shots by Sartell, and their defense gave the Lakers some trouble. However, the Lakers rallied in the second part of the first half and drew within three points at halftime. After that, the Lakers weren’t able to keep up.

The Lakers finish the season with seven wins and 19 loses.

It was the last game for Seniors Kyleigh Okeson, Addison Spalla, Mya Omberg, and Marian Martin. But the future for the Lakers looks bright as they return a young squad, including freshman Sophie Karlgaard and eighth grader Aliyah Okeson.
