Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves are back in action Friday night, welcoming the Dallas Mavericks to Target Center to open the second half of the season. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
Minnesota heads into tonight’s contest riding some momentum, having closed out the pre-break stretch with a dominant 133-109 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on February 11th. The Wolves currently sit at 34-22, good for sixth place in the Western Conference.
The Mavericks will be a familiar opponent — Minnesota defeated Dallas 118-105 back on January 28th in a road contest. Tonight’s rematch gives the Wolves a chance to sweep the season series and continue climbing in a crowded Western Conference playoff picture.
