A Fargo woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Detroit Lakes.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at 3:22 p.m. on Jan. 28 on eastbound U.S. Highway 10 at Shore Drive.
A 2017 Freightliner Cascadia truck and trailer and a 2021 Toyota Rav4 were both traveling eastbound when the vehicles collided near the Shore Drive intersection.
The driver of the semi, 34-year-old Alex Michael Mayo of Hewitt, Minnesota, was not injured and was not transported from the scene. Authorities report he was wearing a seat belt and alcohol was not suspected.
The driver of the Toyota, 44-year-old Doris Yah Manigan of Fargo, North Dakota, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes. She was also reported to be wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not suspected.
Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
The Detroit Lakes Police Department, Detroit Lakes Fire Department, and St. Mary’s EMS assisted at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
