Timberwolves Drop Third Straight in Fourth-Quarter Collapse Against Jazz

Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves’ struggles continued Tuesday night as they fell to the Utah Jazz 127-122 at Delta Center, marking their third consecutive loss in a troubling late-season slide.

Despite a valiant 38-point performance from All-Star guard Anthony Edwards, the Timberwolves were unable to hold off a furious Jazz rally in the final period. Utah outscored Minnesota 43-26 in the fourth quarter, erasing what had been a competitive game through three quarters.

The fourth-quarter meltdown proved costly for a Timberwolves team fighting to maintain its playoff positioning in the tightly contested Western Conference. Minnesota now sits at 27-17, tied for fifth place in the West as teams jockey for postseason seeding.

Edwards did everything he could to keep the Wolves in the game, but his offensive firepower wasn’t enough to overcome the team’s defensive breakdowns in crunch time. The Jazz capitalized on Minnesota’s late-game lapses, scoring at will in the final 12 minutes to secure the victory.
