Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Timberwolves continued their impressive run with a thrilling 149-142 overtime victory against the New Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Center, marking their third consecutive win.
Anthony Edwards delivered a clutch performance, draining a crucial layup with just two seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime and keep Minnesota’s hopes alive. The All-Star guard dominated throughout the contest, finishing with a game-high 44 points to lead the Timberwolves to victory.
In the extra period, Minnesota’s frontcourt duo took control. Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle each contributed eight points in overtime, providing the scoring punch needed to outlast the Pelicans in the high-scoring affair.
