Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Detroit Lakes Lakers struggled to find their offensive rhythm Thursday night, falling 5-0 to Brainerd/Little Falls in a difficult road contest.

The Lakers found themselves in an early hole when Brainerd/Little Falls forward Elsie Haakonson scored at 4:38 of the first period. Detroit Lakes couldn’t answer back, and the Warriors capitalized on their momentum.

The second period proved costly for the Lakers, as Brainerd/Little Falls poured in three goals. Harper Moore struck just 21 seconds into the frame, followed by Kaylie Glas at 3:21. A Lakers penalty led to a power-play goal by Moore at 4:47, pushing the deficit to 4-0 heading into the final period.

Allie Koop added a fifth goal for the Warriors at 3:55 of the third period, sealing the shutout loss for Detroit Lakes.
