Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Vikings hit the practice field today to begin preparations for Sunday’s crucial NFC North showdown against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
Minnesota enters the week looking to bounce back from a disappointing 19-17 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 11 that dropped them to 4-6 on the season. The Purple currently sit in last place in the division, making Sunday’s game against their longtime rivals even more important as they fight to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Head coach Kevin O’Connell and his staff will spend the week installing the gameplan for what promises to be a challenging road environment in Green Bay. The Vikings will be looking to clean up the execution issues that have plagued them in recent weeks, such as dropped passes and false starts.
The team’s first injury report of the week is expected to be released following today’s practice session, which will provide the first indication of player availability heading into Sunday’s matchup.
Kickoff at Lambeau Field is scheduled for Sunday at noon, as Minnesota looks to gain ground in what has become a competitive NFC North race.
