Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Vikings bolstered their secondary depth on Tuesday, signing cornerback Shemar Bartholomew to the practice squad.
Bartholomew, who went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, brings NFL experience to the Vikings’ practice squad after appearing in five games with the Carolina Panthers last season. The young defensive back recorded three tackles during his time in Carolina.
The move comes as the Vikings placed cornerback Jeff Okudah on injured reserve in a corresponding roster move. Okudah’s stint on IR creates an opportunity for Bartholomew to develop within Minnesota’s system while providing emergency depth at the cornerback position.
