Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins announced Tuesday the addition of former MLB All-Star Grady Sizemore to their coaching staff, naming him the team’s outfield and base-running coach as well as first base coach.
Sizemore, 42, brings extensive playing experience and recent managerial credentials to the Twins organization. The former Cleveland Indians outfielder earned three All-Star selections during his playing career, which spanned from 2004 to 2015.
Most recently, Sizemore served in the Chicago White Sox organization for the past two seasons. His tenure with the White Sox culminated in a notable stint as the team’s interim manager at the end of the 2024 campaign, where he posted a 13-32 record over 45 games.
The hiring represents a significant addition to Minnesota’s coaching staff as the team looks to bolster its player development and in-game strategy.
