Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM)- The Minnesota Timberwolves mounted an impressive 20-point comeback only to see their efforts crushed in heartbreaking fashion, falling 116-115 to the Los Angeles Lakers on a last-second floater by Austin Reaves at Target Center.

After digging themselves into a significant deficit, the Timberwolves clawed their way back in the fourth quarter. But the Lakers had the final answer at the buzzer, silencing the arena and handing the Timberwolves a devastating defeat.

Randle led Minnesota with 33 points in the losing effort, while Jaden McDaniels added 30 points in an impressive performance. Despite the strong individual showings, the Timberwolves couldn’t hold on when it mattered most.

The loss drops Minnesota to 2-3 on the young season. The Timberwolves will look to bounce back when they travel to face the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday.
