Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM) – The Minnesota Twins’ disappointing season hit another low point Wednesday night as they squandered a three-run lead in a devastating 11-8 loss to the Chicago White Sox at Target Field.

The Twins appeared to be in control heading into the seventh inning with a comfortable advantage, but their bullpen imploded once again. The White Sox erupted for five runs in the top of the seventh to turn a 6-3 deficit into an 8-6 lead, effectively sealing Minnesota’s fate.

Despite the loss, the Twins showed offensive life with home runs from Matt Wallner and Kody Clemens. However, relief pitcher Travis Adams was tagged with his third loss of the season after failing to hold the lead.

The defeat marks another chapter in what has become a forgettable season for Minnesota. The Twins have now dropped five of their last six games and sit firmly in fourth place in the American League Central with a disappointing 62-78 record.

Pablo Lopez will take the mound tonight as the Twins look to salvage something positive against the Kansas City Royals.

After their series in Kansas City, the Twins will head west to face the Los Angeles Angels as they continue what has been a challenging road through the final month of the season.
