DETROIT LAKES — Two separate street closures are scheduled in Detroit Lakes next week to accommodate community events and utility work.
On Wednesday, August 13, West Lake Drive from Rossman Avenue to North Shore Drive — including the intersections at Summit Avenue, Minnesota Avenue, and Lake Avenue — will be closed from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Cruise Night. Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes during the event.
The following morning, Thursday, August 14, Willow Street will be closed from Roosevelt Avenue to McKinley Avenue between 9 a.m. and noon while crews relocate a utility post.
City officials encourage motorists to watch for posted detours and allow extra travel time during both closures.
