WADENA (KDLM) – Tri-County Health Care broke ground on their new hospital and clinic in Wadena, Friday.
The new facility will have large exam rooms, a rehabilitation center on site, and an air filtration system designed to fight airborne viruses like COVID-19.
The $72 million project has been in the works for several years. “Almost unbelievable that we’ve overcome all the obstacles we have. Last March we had to delay the project because of COVID and we thought we would be done, then the financing changed because of COVID, but through perseverance and resiliency here we are,” said Joel Beiswenger, President & CEO of Tri-County Health Care.
Construction is scheduled to be complete by 2023.
