Detroit Lakes , MN (KDLM) – Two people have been hurt in a crash near Seven Sisters Spirits, south of Detroit Lakes.
State Troopers say that on Friday afternoon, a minivan driven by 39-year-old Tiffany Ruther of Perham was northbound on the shoulder of Highway 59 making a U-turn, while a pickup driven by 59-year-old David Schmaltz of Barnesville was heading north and the vehicles made contact.
Troopers Ruther was transported from the crash to Essentia Health for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Schmaltz was not injured, but his passenger, 52-year-old Michelle Schmaltz received minor injuries.
Troopers say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
